Monday Mash Up: Mommy + Me.

I have been thinking it's a good idea to start "Mommy + Me" dates with my 6 year old.  Specifically for some girl time, where we can make memories and build a lasting relationship and friendship with each other. A time just for her so I can make her feel special + loved.

It is so easy to let our busy lives get in the way of really connecting with our kids (at least it is for me.) I really want to practice more intentional parenting. (Have you heard of Dannah Gresh? I heard her speak at True Woman '12 and she is amazing. My new hero.)

 Today's Mommy & Me inspiration:

1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9

What extra things do you do to make your kids feel special?

Also, don't forget to checkout the handmade holiday gift guide information! I am now accepting applicants + I added a ONE MONTH option for those of you who asked!

There is also still time to enter to WIN a free spot in the guide! HURRY!

I agree. I too have a little girl, and I know how much she looks forward to being with mommy. I need to try harder to set aside that time. For her, mani-pedis at home are her fave.

Your blog is adorable. I LOVE your spoons too. I actually bought one of them for my mom last year. Thank you so much for the sweet feature of my Pink Lemonade ring. They are really fun to make.
Totally love your style!

I have a 6 year old daughter as well and she LOVES mommy/daughter dates. We do frozen yogurt, cupcakes, etc. Even letting her run errands with me, without her brother, means a lot to her. Lately another way we've been giving her extra attention is by visiting her in her room. Doing so without the baby around gives her that one-on-one time she desires, plus she absolutely adores showing us her toys or art projects or even reading to us. :)

YAY! Mommy kid time is really good. I am a Nanny of three and...well...the parents....really need to spend more time with them. I feel really bad for them a lot.
Keep up the great work mommy!
